Can you believe it? Two snow storms in November. Not the end of November, either. We’re talking November 15th and 20th.
Now, I’ve lived in Maine my whole life (so far) and I’ve seen snow in November before. Sure. But usually it’s a light dusting that’s gone the next day. This stuff is not only sticking. It’s piling up.
This is unnatural. What’s next? Locusts?
Nope. A new poem from my hubby. I just love this guy!
Everyone’s Buzzin’ ‘Bout Snow
Weather’s a-comin’, and everyone’s buzzin’
Buzzin’ ‘bout snow wherever I go
And wherever I’m goin’, the amount keeps growin’
Everyone’s buzzin’ ‘bout snow
“How much we getting’?” this fella asked me
Heck if I know, maybe one to three?
“’Cause I’ve heard more like five to eight”
Well, won’t that make the roads just great?
But wait, they’re talkin’ ‘bout six to ten!
Are you ready for snow again?
‘Cause you’ll never get done all the stuff you gotta do
‘Fore the first big storm of winter blows through
Try as you might, you’re never quite ready
And the next you know, there’s half a foot of snow!
My plow’s not attached, my blower needs gas
I got rock salt, but not enough to last
Registration at the end of the month expires
We haven’t even changed our tires!
Wasn’t I mowin’ the lawn the other day?
Rakin’ up leaves and puttin’ stuff away?
Lyin’ in the hammock in the afternoon?
This snow’s comin’ much too soon!
‘Cause you’ll never get done all the stuff you gotta do
‘Fore the first big storm of winter blows through
Try as you might, you’re never quite ready
And the next you know, there’s half a foot of snow!
Weather’s a-comin’, and everyone’s buzzin’
Buzzin’ ‘bout snow wherever I go
And all I can think about is what I gotta do
If I’m gonna be ready, but the hours are few
So I better get goin’, I can’t listen to
Everyone buzzin’ ‘bout snow!
That’s it for now. Catch you on the flip side!
